1 Air bag(AB)
The main supporting elements of the slip are air bag ( hereinafter - AB) . Ship transferring from the building area to the slip is produced approaching the deflated air bag under the vessel and inflating with compressed air. The launching is made on the air bags used as the rollers. This launch can be both uncontrolled and controlled. In the latter case the launching speed is regulated by the traction mechanism which is located at the head of the slip.
The distance between the air bags depends on the light-ship, the length and width, but not more than 6 m from the bag centers. To install the bag the space at least 25 cm in height and width at least the half of the circumference of the air bag is required.

Actually lap type air bag is an old process, and compared with the winding type of air bag is a new type of air bag production process, relatively safe and reliable, but also the current mainstream, so the choice should be inclined to the winding type more. Secondly, the choice of air bag depends on the material, here is also the key, to choose nylon cord line, the use of low grade cord to do the air bag, which is easy to lead to leakage and even the danger of explosion; And the rubber must be pure natural rubber, so as to achieve the high pressure resistance of the air bag.
Thirdly, appropriate ship specifications should be selected. For example, if the width of the ship is 10m, airbags of 10m length should be selected, not 9m (too small), let alone more than 10m (wasteful of resources and money). If there is really no specific grasp, it is best to tell us the specifications of the ship, we will help to design a most appropriate ship airbag; In addition, the number of air bag layers must reach the standard, because if the ship is too big and the number of air bag layers is too low, it can not withstand high pressure, and there will be the risk of explosion.

Q: How should marine airbag be maintained when storing?
A: When the airbag is unused for a long time, it should be washed and dried, filled with talcum powder and placed in a dry, cool and ventilated place. The air bag should be stretched out flat, not stacked, also not on the air bag pile pressure heavy. Keep airbags away from heat. Airbags should not come into contact with acids, bases, oils and organic solvents.
